Frequently Asked Questions
Can I book on a Saturday?
Our event spaces are available to book Sunday - Friday. We don't host private events on Saturdays as they are reserved for our usual service.
If you're a small group, why not book onto a Sparkling Saturday tasting event instead? Three flutes of fizz, delicious macarons, and a guaranteed table!
Can under 18s attend my event?
Due to our licensing, we cannot permit anyone under the age of 18 on the premises, even for private events.
Please note that this also includes babies.
Are there minimum/maximum numbers?
Each of our events spaces has its own maximum numbers depending on if your guests are seated or standing:
SugarBird in the Gardens
- Full Venue — 120 (standing only)
- Upper Bar — 35 - 60 (standing only)
- SugarBird on the Terrace — 25 - 25 seated / 60 standing
- SugarBird with a View — 15-25 (standing only)
SugarBird Union Grove
- Full Venue — 24 seated / 30 standing
Please note, all of our events need a minimum of 15 guests.
Can I bring my own food?
In addition to our delicious food options, we do allow external catering in some cases. Let our events team know the ideas you're cooking up, and they'll advise what's possible.
Can I bring my own wine / champagne?
We get it — special events call for special sips. Unfortuantely, we aren't able to allow alcohol to be brought in externally.
BUT we do have a wonderfully varied wine list! Let our events team know what you like, and they'll suggest some options that you'll love. Maybe you'll find a new favourite!
