SugarBird Wines offers a unique hospitality and retail concept. Choose from our exciting range of worldwide wines to either take away or to enjoy in our stunning wine bars. 

We are now looking for a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team with a focus on the customer experience, consistency, accuracy, and health & hygiene. Our menu includes cheese / charcuterie boards and a selection of small plates created to pair harmoniously with our extensive wine list.  

Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Assistant and play a vital role in enhancing the SugarBird Wines experience. As a member of our team, your primary responsibilities will include: 

Job Description:

• Cold Platters, small plates & snacks: food preparation across a small but carefully curated menu, ensuring high-quality presentation.
• Stock Rotation: Maintain and manage stock rotation to ensure the freshness and quality of food items.
• Date Dots: Implement date dotting procedures to monitor the shelf life of perishable items and ensure customer safety.
• Food Safety: Be responsible for temperature checks of deliveries & fridges and follow our allergen procedures.
• Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area, adhering to health and hygiene protocols. 

Qualifications:

We're looking for individuals who possess the following qualities:

• Customer-focused and friendly demeanour
• Experience in food preparation, storage and presentation; health & hygiene standards; allergen compliance essential, minimum 1 year
• A passion for hospitality and a desire to learn  
• Strong attention to detail in stock management
• Familiarity with licensing laws and responsible alcohol service is a plus
• Must understand the necessity of evening and weekend work

Hourly pay: £12.80, paid weekly
