Service Standards & Responsibilities

Beverage Service
The role encompasses careful order taking and the preparation of all drinks items. Service staff are expected to demonstrate proficiency in creating a range of beverages, ensuring consistency and quality with each order and to company standards.
Food Preparation and Service
Bar staff may also be responsible for the preparation and attentive service of food items. Each dish should be presented with care, reflecting the establishment’s commitment to excellence.
Wine Service and Etiquette
Wine service is an integral part of the guest experience. Staff should be knowledgeable in providing recommendations and upselling options where appropriate, utilising the correct glassware and always serving with trays. Proper etiquette must be maintained throughout, ensuring that guests receive the highest standard of service.
Customer Service Excellence
Exceptional customer service is a priority, with attention given to every detail of the guest’s experience. Staff should be approachable, courteous, and intuitive to guest needs at all times, creating a unique experience for every guest.
Hygiene and Safety
All staff are required to maintain a hygienic and safe environment, meeting or exceeding expected standards. This includes regular cleaning procedures and the careful handling of all food and beverage items.
Communication and Stock Control
Effective communication is essential. Staff must advise Supervisors and Managers
promptly of any sold-out items to ensure customers are informed without delay.
Completion of preparation sheets, where required, supports efficient operations to
company standards.
Professional Development
Ongoing wine knowledge development and participation in training sessions are
encouraged, enabling staff to continually enhance their skill set and service delivery.
Compliance and Duty of Care
All operations must adhere strictly to the parameters of the Premises License and
Operation Plan. Staff are expected to uphold the Duty of Care and comply with the Bar
Code, prioritising the health and safety of both staff and customers at all times.
Working Pattern and Benefits
Job type: Full-time / Part-time
Hourly pay: £12.80, paid weekly
Tips: Additional share of TRONC
